We thought the best way to answer rumors, was to post the correct info here.

FALSE RUMOR #1:  CheerForce competition team tuition is $250/month.

CORRECT INFO #1:  Our competition team tuition is $100/month.  The other costs associated with being on a competition team (detailed below) are an additional $150/month. To make it easier for our customers, we combine those two amounts into one “all-inclusive” payment of $250 each month.

Our $250 “all-inclusive” payment covers almost all of the expenses athletes normally incur throughout the year. This includes: tuition, practice clothes, shoes, backpack, makeup, camp, competition entry fees, choreography, music, coaches’ travel fees, USASF athlete credentialing, CF “Summer of Fun” events (Dodger Night, Knott’s Berry Farm Day, Beach Party, Disney Day), and numerous other expenses.

We don't try to "hide" those other costs and then nickel & dime you for them throughout the season. Nor do we "front-load" those costs into the 1st few months of the season, so by the time you realize that program isn't what you wanted...the gym already has most of your non-refundable money. We're upfront about what the costs will be, so you can budget your entire season.
12 months x $250/month = $3,000 total for season (+ uniform, if needed that year)

FALSE RUMOR #2:  CheerForce is FULL, and isn't taking on any more cheerleaders next season.

CORRECT INFO #2:  With our current 14,000 ft facility, we could easily handle 100 new competition team cheerleaders joining next season (08-09).  With our 3 Spring Floors we can have 3 teams practicing simultaneously, while still having room for other gym classes (See Gym Photos).  There's plenty of room for everyone who wants to be here.  :)

FALSE RUMOR #3:  You must have a "full" to be placed on a Level-5 Worlds team at CheerForce

CORRECT INFO #3:  While having a "full" would guarantee yourself a spot on one of our level-5 Worlds teams, there are other important positions on a level-5 team besides tumblers (ie strong bases, talented flyers). Our Worlds team tryouts are Saturday May 3rd & by private appt.

FALSE RUMOR #4:  You must be 15yr+ old to be on a Senior Allstar team (ie RockStarz) at CheerForce

CORRECT INFO #4:  The age breakdowns from USASF are just general guidelines where we start. The "Senior" division is 18yr & under and the "Junior" division is 14yr & under.  We could end up having some 14yr olds on a Junior team and some 12yr olds on a Senior team. Age isn't the only factor for team placement.

FALSE RUMOR #5:  Parents are not allowed to stay in the Gym to watch their kid's practices.

CORRECT INFO #5:  Parents are allowed to watch their kids' practices.  We have two large Parent Viewing Rooms with bay windows (See Gym Layout).

FALSE RUMOR #6:  CheerForce West (Ventura) isn't staffed by the actual CheerForce (Simi Valley) coaches.

CORRECT INFO #6:  CheerForce West will offer tumbling & cheer classes coached by our CheerForce (Simi Valley) coaches. Click here for info on CheerForce West.

FALSE RUMOR #7:  You must be on a team at CheerForce (Simi) to take class at CheerForce West.

CORRECT INFO #7:  Everyone is welcome to take class at CheerForce West (Ventura). Most of our competition team members living in Ventura will be taking their tumbling classes & private lessons at CheerForce West, but those classes & private lessons are also open to the public.  Click here for info on CheerForce West.
